Marquette County highway panel approves $150,000 in state bridge and STH 82 paving projects

Brian Trebiatowski, highway department staff, asked the committee to approve a DOT DMA project for bridge work in the amount of $35,000 and an LFA project for paving on STH 82 in the amount of $115,000 once the department receives the contract for approval. Dave Benson moved to approve both projects and John Bennett seconded; the motion carried.
The committee’s approval was contingent on receipt of the final contracts and did not specify a construction start date. Trebiatowski also reported that the DOT approved an amended RMA invoice related to the department’s salt dome replacement but that the department is still waiting on amended DMA approval and payment from DOT.
The approvals permit county staff to proceed with the administrative steps required for DOT-funded work and for the local force account (LFA) paving on STH 82 once contracts are executed. The committee did not record any dissenting votes; the minutes state only that the motions carried.
The committee adjourned at 9:20 a.m.; there was no further public comment on the projects.
