During public comment, Mary Ambleton (S7) said she had asked previously about the county's FY25 audit and annual report and could not find the filings on the state website. She cited statutory deadlines—annual report filing due Dec. 31 and audit filing due March 31—and asked for confirmation of when the documents would appear and when an exit conference would be scheduled so she could attend.
"A little over a month ago... I had asked about the fiscal year 25 audit and annual report and audited statements. They hadn't been completed," Ambleton said, adding that she had been told the draft would be ready by the end of May and that staff had told her the draft was anticipated by next week. Clerk/finance staff responded that a tentative draft was received the morning of the meeting and that one outstanding response document remained; staff said a formal document and exit conference would be scheduled once that outstanding item was resolved.
Ambleton thanked commissioners for the clarification and said she planned to follow up to attend the exit conference when it is scheduled. The exchange ended with staff promising to load the draft and schedule the exit conference; no audit report content or figures were discussed at the meeting.
