The Area Plan Commission of Tippecanoe County recommended approval on May 20 of final detailed plans for the Montoya Planned Development (PD-26-02), voting 14-0 to forward the application with staff’s recommendation. Amanda Esposito, APC staff, told commissioners that both the construction plans and final plat met all required conditions and that bonding had been submitted and approved.
The approved preliminary plans call for one three-story building with 10,645 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and two upper floors of residential units with a maximum of 40 beds on a 0.810-acre property located between Sagamore Parkway North and Earl Avenue in Lafayette. Kevin Riley of RTS Law appeared for the petitioner to answer questions; no members of the public spoke on the item.
With the Commission’s favorable recommendation, the petitioner may obtain improvement location permits once the recorded final plat and other submittals are completed. The Commission used a yellow-ballot vote; Ryan O’Gara collected ballots and reported a 14-Yes, 0-No recommendation.
