The City of St. Paul council on Dec. 15 approved Diamond Engineering Co.'s Pay Request #2 for the St. Paul Tennis and Pickleball Courts (Project #025-0534) while withholding the coating-related portion of the invoice pending resolution.
Council member Jerry Woodgate moved to approve the pay request less $36,538.20 associated with the court coating; Council member Mark Wilson seconded. Council members Kowalski, Peters, Wilson and Woodgate voted aye and the motion carried 4-0. Minutes record that the remaining amount will be paid upon resolution of the coating issue.
The minutes note a subsequent correction: the originally presented net payment of $70,627.50 did not reflect an adjusted retainage of $3,653.82. Olsson revised the Diamond Engineering pay request to $74,281.32 to account for that retainage adjustment. The council did not adopt a separate corrective motion at the meeting; the minutes indicate staff-level correction of the pay-request figure.
