The Waukesha Board of Public Works handled routine administrative business and several small contract actions during its April 17 meeting.
The Board approved minutes from April 3 and accepted four payments presented by staff, including a final payment related to the Will Search Public Library project. It passed a resolution to proceed with exterior tuckpointing at the Cemetery Chapel and accepted staff’s report that the West Paul Performance Center improvements had received no bids and will be repackaged for rebid.
The Board also approved updated contractor street-opening prices for 2025 and authorized a change order with Sable Mechanical to install four alternate check valves at Rivers Crossing Pump Station and Gulf Road Pump Station for a total of $8,140. In utility business, the Board granted a one‑time sewer credit of $111.49 for a resident (Rachel Zuniga), for an estimated 10,638 additional gallons used when establishing a new lawn in October 2024.
In reports, staff said Brush and Branch pickup concluded with zero accidents or injuries and an estimated 844 loads hauled, a presumed increase tied in part to a recent change in leaf pickup scheduling. The meeting adjourned after those reports.
