Board approves Winterberry developer and stormwater maintenance agreements

The Waukesha City Board of Public Works on June 18 approved a developer agreement between the city and VH Winterberry Reserve LLC for phase 2 of a property along Summit Avenue and approved a companion stormwater management practice maintenance agreement for Woodbury Reserve. Both actions passed on unanimous votes.
City staff described the developer agreement as similar to prior agreements used for the same subdivision area and said staff and developers are ready to move the project forward. "It's very similar to previous ones," said Alex, a city staff member presenting the item. A developer representative identified himself as Matt from Pretty Homes and was thanked by members for the investment in the city.
The stormwater maintenance agreement covers long-term maintenance responsibilities for stormwater practices in the Woodbury Reserve portion of the subdivision. Kevin Riley moved to accept the stormwater agreement; the motion was seconded and both items were approved with all members voting aye (O'Donnell, Kevin Riley, Piper, Mickleitz).
Board members expressed enthusiasm for the Winterberry neighborhood and indicated staff will continue to coordinate bidding, inspections and maintenance details as the phases proceed. No fiscal or amendment details beyond the agreements themselves were discussed in depth at the meeting.
