Ryan Robinson told the Parks Commission that cemetery gophers are being managed, the Valley View survey had been completed and two new sections are in the planning stage. Robinson said that Ms. Vargas was working on an ordinance related to cemetery matters and that staff will follow up with her on the ordinance’s status.
During the meeting Commissioner Daniel Viramontez told the commission he will be giving his resignation to the commission; the minutes do not record an effective date or further discussion about the resignation. No formal action or vote on the cemetery expansion or on the resignation was recorded at the meeting.
The commission adjourned at 5:32 p.m.; staff will return with ordinance follow-up and any timeline for cemetery section development when available.
