Personnel actions included a vote to hire Vincent Ligio as a full-time DPW laborer with the condition he obtain a commercial driver's license within one year; the appointment was made per the DPW supervisor's recommendation and the hire date was set for June 19, 2026. The board also approved the appointment of Alicia Carberry to the Zoning Board of Appeals (term through April 2, 2029); the appointee was not present.
The trustees authorized purchase of a hydro valve-box repair kit for $4,345 from Corin Maine for the FY 2026–27 budget, on the recommendation of Water Distribution Supervisor Christopher Bennett. The board granted a permit for New Hart's The Home Source to use sidewalk and parking spaces at 39 Main Street for a sidewalk sale on July 12, 2026, contingent on required state transportation approval and insurance coordination with the village planning department.
Officials also discussed roadway restoration tied to Orange and Rockland's gas-line work and coordination to repave Homestead Village Drive using county bid unit costs. The meeting concluded its public business and moved into executive session for confidential legal advice.
