The Wausau Plan Commission on June 16 approved a "meeting in a box" public-engagement template intended to standardize neighborhood outreach for the city's comprehensive-plan update. Assistant Planner Carrie Edmonson said the template will be published along with a survey and that staff plans targeted neighborhood meetings.
Commissioners asked that the template include a section for "other comments" to capture community input beyond predefined prompts; staff agreed to add that element. The commission voted to adopt the template (motion from Alderwoman Watson, second from Borneman).
