Mount Kisco Board approves tax settlement, awards road resurfacing contract and signs off on routine business

At its Aug. 11 meeting the Mount Kisco Village Board approved several routine but consequential administrative and fiscal items, including a tax-assessment settlement, a road resurfacing contract, and authorizations for property/title review.
Tax settlement: The Board approved settlement terms for tax challenges filed by 100 South Bedford LLC covering assessment years 2020–2025. For village proceedings the record shows proposed settlement assessment values and specified reductions for select years; town proceedings were addressed separately in the resolution. The motion passed unanimously.
Preston Way Bridge title search: Trustee Karen B. Schleimer moved and the Board authorized a title search for Preston Way Bridge; the motion passed with Trustee Thomas G. Luzio recorded as voting Nay, and the remainder in favor.
Road resurfacing contract: The Board awarded Contract No. 2025-05 for 2025 road resurfacing to Intercounty Paving for $699,134.25. Deputy Mayor Theresa Flora moved, Trustee Angie Guerra seconded; the motion passed with Mayor J. Michael Cindrich recorded as abstaining.
Bills and minutes: The Board approved payment of bills for June and July 2025 across General, Water, Sewer, Capital, Library, Trust and LOSAP funds totaling $929,639.47 and approved minutes for meetings on June 2, June 16 and June 30, 2025. All motions were recorded as adopted by the Board.
What’s next: The title-search results and contractor scheduling and notices will be processed by the Village Manager’s office and relevant departments; staff will return to the Board as needed for additional authorizations or contract change orders.
