Mount Kisco board opens review of new personal wireless services code; hearing continued to Aug. 11

The Mount Kisco Village Board opened a public hearing July 14 on a proposed local law to repeal and replace the village’s existing code for personal wireless service facilities. Mayor J. Michael Cindrich read the draft into the record and asked whether Mr. Campanelli’s suggested edits were included in the version before the Board.
Village Manager Edward W. Brancati said the attorney had received requested changes but was not sure they were reflected in the packet; Mr. Campanelli was expected to be on the Zoom to answer technical questions. Mayor Cindrich noted the proposed law would repeal and replace the current law if adopted and emphasized that franchise agreements (not fully addressed in the draft) may bear on implementation.
Trustee Thomas G. Luzio thanked the drafter and noted that the Westchester County Planning Department had returned comments on the referral. Louis Terlizzi, a resident, urged the Board to consider residents’ health concerns associated with small cell and macro wireless facilities.
Deputy Mayor Theresa Flora moved and Trustee Karen B. Schleimer seconded a motion to adjourn the hearing to Monday, August 11, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.; the motion passed unanimously.
