Career Ladder presenter Katie said 116 district staff participated in Career Ladder across all buildings and logged 12,318 total hours this year, with about 5,754.5 of those as student contact hours. The program has three tiers of awards funded roughly 60 percent by the state and 40 percent by the district; tiers correspond to $1,500, $3,000 and $5,000 awards and require a mix of logged hours and experience.
District leaders said local banking partners will provide $100 to each all‑district teacher this year, and the district will present certificates, gift baskets and classroom banners at convocation. Board members and staff used the recognition segment to thank teachers and volunteers for extracurricular support that contributes to student growth.
No board action was required to honor recipients; administrators also noted Career Ladder funding uncertainty and that continued board support helps preserve the program.
