McKenna told the Board that Global Advanced Metals appealed the Board of Assessment’s 2024 valuation, and that the parties agreed to a settlement that reduces the assessment from $3,605,000.00 to $2,272,000.00 for the 2024–2025 tax year. The Board voted to authorize McKenna to execute the Stipulation to Settle.
The motion to authorize execution was made by Vice‑Chair Sara Carpenter and seconded by Supervisor Don Bergstresser; the motion passed with both votes recorded as aye. McKenna described the settlement as a mutual agreement in the parties’ best interests; the Board did not discuss the detailed terms of the stipulation during the public meeting beyond the reduction in assessed value.
Because tax assessments drive property tax liabilities subject to county and local tax rules, the revised assessment will affect the taxable base for the subject property for the 2024–2025 tax year. The meeting record does not provide projections of tax revenue impacts to the township budget.
