During public comment at the May 4 meeting, resident Mike Rodibaugh presented a map and said he would consider selling approximately 30–50 acres of land to the township for a park.
Commissioner Bruce Zeinstra said he will mention the offer to the Township Board. Commissioners also raised follow-up concerns about prior public comments regarding Tommy’s Car Wash, asking staff or board representatives to follow up as needed.
In Township Board reports to the commission, staff noted that the Township Board had approved the Emerald Springs Phase 2 Final Plat and completed the first reading of a Water System Ordinance. The commission approved routine agenda and minutes items earlier in the meeting—motions that passed 7-0.
Next steps: Bruce Zeinstra will raise the park offer at the Township Board; staff will continue follow-up on Tommy’s Car Wash public comments.
