On Sept. 9, 2025, the Mayflower Planning Commission voted to accept the final plat for Vineyard Phase Two, a subdivision that will create 17 residential lots. Commissioners moved swiftly after a brief question about Lot 7’s dimension at the start of the curve.
The applicant presented the final plat and explained that Lot 7’s recorded width (about 52.23 feet to the start of the curve) is affected by a 25‑foot radius where the curve begins; staff clarified how the curve affects usable width. After the technical clarification, a motion was made and recorded votes were taken. Committee member Wesley Waters, Committee member Randy Hullman, Committee member Chad Henderson and Committee member Cam all registered “Yes” and the commission accepted the plat.
Commissioners said the subdivision meets the commission’s standards for platting and that typical infrastructure and permit processes will follow. The approval starts the process for the developer to proceed toward construction permitting; any future infrastructure or public‑street adoption would require separate compliance with city standards.
The commission did not attach additional conditions at the meeting. The commission noted, however, that future infrastructure questions—such as road interconnectivity—remain topics for staff and future reviews as projects advance.
The commission moved on to other agenda business following the vote.
