The Enumclaw School District board unanimously approved a motion on May 18 to name the district’s new elementary facility "Evergreen Trail Blazers." Director Fisher moved to adopt the name and mascot, noting the committee reviewed more than 250 suggested names and used analytics and community input to narrow the candidates.
Board members thanked the committee and Mr. Beals for leading the naming process. The chair called for a voice vote; board members responded "Aye" and the motion passed with no recorded opposition on the meeting record.
