Richard Hatch, who said the alewives are fished from his property, told the Select Board he is very interested in the Alewives contract and expressed concern about allowing others onto his land; he noted a long acquaintance and trust in Ron Weeks. The board asked Lynne to email him copies of past Alewives contracts for review.
A resident complaint alleging a property appeared to be a junkyard was discussed; the board noted the property is not a legal junkyard and is not the town's responsibility, and Tom Durkee will reply to the complainant as CEO. The board also received a property-and-casualty survey that members said contains several serious items; the survey will be added to the next agenda for further review.
Lynne said she spoke with First National Bank, which will meet with town staff on Wednesday, July 17 to review a direct-deposit contract. Lynne will also present a report at the next meeting showing how Local Road Assistance, ARPA and URIP funds have been used; the town plans to use Local Road Assistance and ARPA funds first.
The board entered executive session under 1 M.R.S. § 405(6)(D) from 6:11 to 6:27 p.m. with no action recorded, approved a town expense warrant totaling $34,992.97, and adjourned at 6:41 p.m.
