Williamson County Historical Commission reviews finances; moves P.O. box and approves generic business card order

The Williamson County Historical Commission reviewed its recent finances, approved a relocation of its P.O. box to 100 Wilco Way in Georgetown and authorized ordering new, generic business cards showing the commission's updated address.

Treasurer's figures presented at the April 9 meeting showed $2,340 in net sales from an event (117 tickets sold), $2,650 in deposits from that event and calendar/donation proceeds. The commission reported $20,301.63 in programs funds and $1,689.26 in the general fund; routine debits for Google and reimbursements come from the general fund. The commission noted an AED had been refurbished at a cost of $1,120.

Members said the P.O. box had not been renewed properly because it was tied to a payment card no one recognized; Rachel Arnold worked with the facilities director to move the P.O. box to the building at 100 Wilco Way. The motion to move the P.O. box passed; Rachel Arnold will verify her identity at the Georgetown post office to receive the box. The commission also approved a motion to order new, generic business cards (quotes obtained from Ink Images).

Calendar sales were summarized: 44 calendars sold at $20 each ($880) and additional group/discount sales brought the total remitted to Rachel Arnold to $1,830. Printing expense was reported (approximately $15,999.75 listed in the minutes), and Dan Doss announced his resignation as calendar committee chair; the commission deferred a decision on producing a 2027 calendar until the following month.

No formal budget reallocation beyond the approved administrative steps was recorded at the meeting.
