She told council she filed FOIA requests and received the city’s letter of deficiencies, and she asked staff to review trails before any developer bond is released. She estimated, based on rough online figures, that paving the three-mile trail could cost between $250,000 and $475,000 — an amount she said would represent an added cost to homeowners later if the city’s standards are not met now.
Council members acknowledged the concern and asked staff to follow up. Rose requested the city compare the neighborhood trails to the city-built Lake Me Park trail as an example of the standard she expects.
