"Roughly, it would cost around $14,000 between to $20 to initially set this up for ongoing maintenance and Internet costs depending on the chosen services," staff said, noting Brentwood limits sessions to two hours and requires sign‑in.
Council direction to staff: return with a clearer total cost estimate (including estimated staff time to manage and troubleshoot), suggested funding sources or sponsors, a proposed pilot scope (duration, hours, device limits), and feedback from downtown businesses about likely benefits and concerns.
