Catskill board accepts Trustee Workman's resignation; appoints planning member, temporary secretary and hires communications staff

The Village of Catskill Board of Trustees on June 11 accepted the resignation of Trustee Jeffrey Workman and recorded several appointments and hires.
Trustee Daniel Ward moved to accept Workman's resignation; Trustee Joe Kozloski seconded and the motion was passed unanimously. Workman submitted a written resignation included in the minutes in which he said he accepted a new job and could no longer devote sufficient time to board duties. The letter expresses regret to voters and thanks residents for their support.
The board recorded a motion to appoint Jay Lesenger as a planning board member and to appoint Noelle Abushqeir as a temporary planning/zoning board secretary, both effective June 11, 2025. The minutes include a letter of interest from Noelle Abushqeir describing her availability and background as a student and prior event/front-of-house work. The board also recorded motions to hire Eugene Edwards and Aiden Davies as communications specialists.
