Council member Jeff Smith reported he met with OMEGA regarding Safe Routes to School and Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grants and said both projects are slated for 2025. OMEGA requested a work session to explain grant opportunities; Legal Counsel Terry Seeberger will assist with preparing the resolution for the Nov. 19 council meeting so the village can file with OMEGA by the Nov. 30 deadline.
Smith said he would include Village Administrator Mike Rosenberry in future emails and would provide drawings and information about the Safe Routes and TAP projects to Rosenberry. The council did not take a recorded vote on the informational update but recorded the scheduling and the Nov. 30 filing deadline for grant submission.
Next steps: plan the OMEGA work session and prepare a resolution for Nov. 19 to meet the Nov. 30 filing deadline.
