United South Central board honors spring athletes, recognizes state softball champions

At its June meeting the United South Central Schools Board recognized district student-athletes who qualified for state tournaments this spring and congratulated the softball team for winning the section 2A title and the state championship.
The board read a roster of participants including golfers Brennan Olsson and Colt Bullerman, and track athletes Jane Barnik, Payton Shrader (recorded in the meeting as winning gold in the 100 and 200 meters), Ezra Edwards (discus), Jay Signesky and Max Shaw. Board members invited the students and coaches to come forward for photos and said certificates would be distributed.
Board members and the superintendent praised the students’ performances and wished teams competing at higher levels good luck in upcoming events.
