Ely said the department hosted fire extinguisher training for Tremcar, that the fire inspector will inspect the Ramada the next morning, and that four applicants will be interviewed later in the week.
Police Corporal Kayla Morrison reported that the COPS grant announcement has not yet been made and reminded council that 2025 body-camera grant applications are due by Nov. 20, 2024. Mayor Bruce Metzger commended Morrison for serving as a speaker at a seasoned senior luncheon.
