The York Board of Education voted unanimously Monday, March 24, 2025, to approve its March 10 meeting minutes, accept the resignations of Jen Schroeder and Chad Mattox, and approve two teacher contracts for the 2025–26 school year during a regular meeting at the Office of the Superintendent in York.
Board member Alison North moved to approve the March 10, 2025 minutes as presented; Alex Hildebrand, a board member, seconded the motion. The board recorded a roll-call vote with members Alex Hildebrand, Brian Tonniges, Matt Holthe, Pepper Papineau, Brien Alley and Alison North voting yes, and the motion carried.
Board member Alex Hildebrand moved to accept the resignations of Jen Schroeder and Chad Mattox and to thank them for their service to York Public Schools; Brian Tonniges, a board member, seconded. The board again approved the motion by roll-call vote, with all six members recorded as voting yes.
On personnel for the upcoming school year, Board member Matt Holthe moved to approve contracts for Tawni Myers (YMS science position, listed at step C-7) and Carson Richters (YES teacher, listed at step A-0); Brien Alley, a board member, seconded. The motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
