Trustees renew three liquor licenses, approve trade-in and NDOT funding resolution

At its Sept. 9 meeting, the Village of Valparaiso Board of Trustees approved routine new-business items including liquor-license renewals, equipment sales and a state funding resolution.
Trustee Turnwall moved to renew the liquor licenses for Harry’s Tavern, NaZdravii (Vintage Cork) and Val Tavern; Trustee Brightenburg seconded. The minutes record votes in favor from Trustees Draper, Brightenburg and Turnwall and an abstention from Chairperson Dan Homes; the motion carried.
Trustees approved a Bobcat trade-in bid and directed listing an old blade for surplus sale; the board also approved sending listed items to Kobza for online auction. Trustee Brightenburg moved approval and the motion carried. Trustees also approved an annual NDOT funding resolution moved by Brightenburg and seconded by Draper.
These actions were routine approvals recorded in the minutes; clerk and staff will finalize paperwork for licenses, surplus sales and the NDOT resolution.
