Valparaiso board approves paving contract, accepts propane bid and schedules lagoon circulator payments

On wastewater equipment, the board approved a plan to buy four lagoon circulator units, with payment split between two fiscal years: half in the current fiscal year and half in the next. Chairperson Homes moved to split the payment and Trustee Draper seconded; the board recorded a YAY vote from all trustees on that motion.
Fire‑extinguisher bids presented by Assistant Superintendent Jesse Alderson were tabled while Alderson investigates additional options. Superintendent Nick Sanders said he is investigating repair or replacement options for the Pine Street Bridge.
