At the July 3 meeting, council members detailed logistics for the upcoming Cleveland Days, including a 9 a.m. flag raising, volunteer responsibilities, and supply needs.
Members assigned duties for signage, cones and parking at the pavilion, and for bringing coolers and cups. They discussed water-balloon preparation: volunteers typically fill balloons after breakfast rather than the night before to prevent deflation and planned to locate or procure water-balloon fillers and hose splitters. A volunteer offered to pick up a lamb for event food service and was given directions to the pickup site near the high school.
The council agreed to provide meals for the volunteer crew setting up fireworks and recommended billing four pizzas to the town with the vendor invoicing the town. Committee members suggested using a single large grill for breakfast at the old fire station and arranging coolers so water was available to participants even if drinks were sold.
Members asked volunteers to add supply needs and problem sidewalk addresses to the group chat; youth-council volunteers were also enlisted for setup tasks. The council closed the Cleveland Days discussion after confirming assignments and supply plans.
