Wymore council accepts $568,333.80 CDBG street bid and approves multiple routine measures

The Wymore City Council on Feb. 5 accepted the low bid of $568,333.80 from Pavers for the CDBG-funded street project CDBG-23-PWI-012 (motion by Council person Max Allen, seconded by Council person Neil Van Boening). The vote was 4-0.
Council also approved a one-year renewal of the EMS software/contract with I Am Responding while staff continue to work on dispatch issues with Beatrice (motion by Max Allen, seconded by Sue Sapp). The council appointed Isaiah Dahlkoetter, a high-school student, as a new cadet with the Wymore Fire Department (motion by Max Allen, seconded by Sue Sapp). Multiple routine financial motions were recorded: approval of minutes and claims, followed by separate approvals for check numbers 29359, 29364 and 29367; each of those three checks passed with a 3-0 recorded vote and one abstention in each instance as reflected in the minutes.
The council also approved the Fire Department Volunteer Emergency Responders Incentive Act Nebraska Income Tax Credit Certification for 2024 reporting and a $1,320 letter of commitment for Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging (same amount as last year) based on an email from City Clerk Janet Riensche. All of those motions carried on 4-0 votes as recorded.
