The Wymore City Council voted March 19 to allow alcohol to be served at the Wymore Community Center during two upcoming events. Julie Packett answered council questions about the proposed service before the council approved the request.
Council member Max Allen moved and council member Sue Sapp seconded a motion to allow alcohol to be served at the community center on March 28 from 4:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. and March 29 from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m. The motion carried 4-0.
Packett responded to questions from council members about the event; the transcript records that she "answered the questions from the council." The council did not attach conditions or list additional permit requirements in the minutes.
The decision was taken during a short regular meeting that also recorded routine approvals of minutes and financial reports. The council moved on to other business and adjourned at 7:14 p.m.
