River Ridge board previews FY2025 budget, schedules Aug. 27 public hearing

District Manager Mrs. Adams presented unaudited financials and the board confirmed the FY2025 budget public hearing for Aug. 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.; Mr. Blumenthal’s updated five-year Capital Improvement Plan remains incorporated.
Mrs. Adams presented the unaudited financial statements as of June 30, 2024 and discussed the budget variance and the proposed five-year plan. The Board reviewed Mr. Blumenthal’s updated five-year Capital Improvement Plan and discussed design and permitting for guardhouses, proposals for construction, possible transfers into cash sweep accounts, the well, a traffic hawk project and upcoming projects to be considered during the FY2025 adoption process.
The Board confirmed the next meeting and the budget public hearing: August 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., when the FY2025 budget will be considered for adoption. In addition, the Board approved administrative meeting minutes and made minor corrections to names and titles in earlier meeting minutes.
Next steps: staff will present the formal advertised budget and any required budget amendments at the August 27 public hearing; staff also will provide periodic updates on major projects to improve board communications going forward.
