The Dennis Affordable Housing Trust authorized up to $12,000 from existing grant funds to pay the regional shared housing services office for monitoring and technical assistance. A motion to authorize payment up to that amount was made, seconded and approved by voice/roll-call.
Trust staff described the services: on-call support for small technical questions, a ticketing system for larger work and at least two virtual trainings during the program year. The Trust noted the service provider will invoice the Trust and requested staff to clarify which grant or account will be used; members agreed the Trust can authorize the payment now and process it when the invoice is received.
In the treasurer’s report the member presenting financials said the Trust’s cash balance is about $240,000 as of Sept. 30 — including roughly $176,000 held by the town and $65,000 in Dennis Housing Authority funds — with an estimated net available balance after earmarks and previously approved items of around $172,000 by year end. The Trust also summarized prior CPC commitments, a remaining balance in older grants, and noted a CHAPA grant of $1,500 is available pending invoice submission.
Members emphasized cleaning up older grant accounting before tapping larger new funds and agreed to clarify invoice routing for the regional service provider.
