"We're not pursuing a tax for that," the chair said, and commissioners approved sending the letter by voice vote.
County staff and the mayor clarified the certification applies specifically to the city-level tax renewal and does not commit the county on future policy decisions. The commission did not establish a countywide policy about wrap taxes beyond issuing the requested letter.
