The Imlay City Board voted unanimously on May 18 to authorize submission of a Request for Delegation of School Plan Review and Inspection Authority to the appropriate state agencies and directed Superintendent Dr. Stu Cameron to request certification from the City of Imlay City.
Vice President Kaylee Kaeding moved the motion, which the board supported by roll call vote. The district will seek formal delegation so that certain plan-review and inspection responsibilities may be transferred to the district subject to state agency approval and city certification.
The minutes record no conditions or amendments to the motion. The superintendent will undertake the formal request and report back to the board as required by state procedures.
