Cudahy Common Council unanimously approves consent agenda, ADA notice, benefits contract and Squire Avenue event permit

At its Oct. 4, 2016 meeting, the Cudahy Common Council unanimously approved the consent agenda, adopted an Americans with Disabilities Act notice, authorized a two-year Flexible Benefit Plan agreement with Diversified Benefits (Jan. 1, 2017–Dec. 31, 2018) and approved a Nov. 11–13 Squire Avenue right-of-way use pending Plan Commission approval.
The Cudahy Common Council met Oct. 4, 2016, at the Cudahy Municipal Building and unanimously approved its consent agenda and three new-business items, the meeting record shows.
Mayor John Hohenfeldt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and the clerk performed roll call; Council Members Moralez, Johnson, Hollenbeck, Litkowiec and St. Marie-Boelkow were present along with city department heads and staff.
On a motion by Ald. Litkowiec, seconded by Ald. St. Marie-Boelkow, the council approved the consent agenda, which included the minutes of the Sept. 20 regular council meeting and minutes from the finance, personnel, community development authority, water utility commission and board of health meetings. The motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote.
The council then approved the city’s notice under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The item was moved by Ald. Hollenbeck and seconded by Ald. Litkowiec; the motion carried unanimously.
Council members approved an agreement with Diversified Benefits to continue administration of the city’s Flexible Benefit Plan for Jan. 1, 2017, through Dec. 31, 2018. The motion was made by Ald. Johnson and seconded by Ald. Litkowiec and carried on a unanimous roll-call vote.
Finally, the council approved a request to use the right of way on Squire Avenue for a special event scheduled Nov. 11–13, 2016. Ald. Hollenbeck moved the item, Ald. St. Marie-Boelkow seconded it, and the council approved the request pending Plan Commission approval.
No departmental updates, ordinances, resolutions or public comments were recorded for the meeting. Ald. Litkowiec moved to adjourn, Ald. Johnson seconded, and the council adjourned at 7:15 p.m. The minutes were passed and signed Oct. 18, 2016, by Mayor John Hohenfeldt and attested by Clerk Treasurer Dennis Broderick.
