During general public comment, Thomas Schmidt of 3954 E. Birchwood Ave. said he opposed restoring spring pickup if it would impose additional costs on residents and raised the related issue of e-waste collection. The council did not adopt a policy change on the rubbish pickup item at the meeting; staff and council requested further information and outreach before revisiting the decision.
Next steps include scheduling a County representative to address the wheel-tax question and collecting public feedback and cost estimates on curb-side pickup before the item is returned to the council for action.
