The Sheboygan County Land Information Council on June 18, 2026 approved a package of 2027 land records and public access budget requests totaling $170,574, and agreed to pay for a $2,500 Treasurer scanner from 2026 funds. Chairman Aaron Brault presented the requests during the council’s 11:00 a.m. meeting at the county administration building.
The package included $167,330 in Land Records requests and $3,244 in Public Access requests. Major line items in the Land Records list included Planning & Conservation LiDAR enhancements for $97,600, two Planning & Conservation computers for $3,800, a $6,000 demolition breaker for the Highway Department, and a $30,000 Bastion software request for the Register of Deeds. The Register of Deeds also requested $800 for education and $7,400 for four computers. Treasurer requests included computers, monitors, various projects and a $2,500 scanner.
Member Marilyn Montemayor moved to approve the requests as presented by Mr. Brault, with the Treasurer’s $2,500 scanner to be funded from 2026 funds; Chris Lewinski seconded. The motion carried with no opposition. Earlier in the meeting, Laura Henning-Lorenz moved and Eric Zinkel seconded approval of the minutes from the January 27, 2026 meeting; that motion carried with no opposition.
At the close of the 20-minute meeting, Jeremy Fetterer moved to adjourn and John Holtz seconded; the motion carried and the council adjourned at 11:20 a.m. The next meeting date is to be determined.
