Highwood council approves Verde Springs signage and adopts FY2027 budget

The Highwood City Council unanimously approved an ARC application for signage at Verde Springs, located at 454 Sheridan Road, during its meeting on June 16. A motion was made, seconded and the council voted in favor.
The council also moved to adopt the fiscal year 2027 budget. During a roll call on the motion, Councilmembers recorded votes of approval: Bauer, Nabozny, Hansen, Fiori and Peterson indicated support and the motion passed.
Earlier in the meeting the council approved routine business items, including the City Council minutes dated June 2 and the warrant list dated June 16 after pre-session review. The transcript records a brief discussion noting landscaping and flower charges on the bills list before the roll call approval.
Council later reported it had held an executive session and stated there was no action coming out of that session. A motion to adjourn was made, seconded and carried.
