At its March 25 meeting the Audubon County Board of Supervisors recorded multiple formal actions and approvals.
The board approved the meeting agenda and then approved a Twin Construction bid for jail finishing work; minutes show the board voted "all in favor." The board approved meeting minutes from March 18 and approved claims to be paid totaling $35,803.40. Supervisors said ETI (Justin Veik) will reimburse $4,800 toward jail cell work after follow-up calls.
The board adopted Hiring Resolution 2025‑15, hiring Jonathan Halterman as a full‑time Roadside/Non‑Union employee effective March 31, 2025, at a starting wage of $22.31 per hour with a $0.25‑per‑hour increase after obtaining a Commercial Pesticide License Category 6; insurance coverage begins May 1, 2025.
The board approved a Mid‑American utility permit for Section 6, T80N R35W (LeRoy Township, Goldfinch Ave). Engineer Mitch Rydl reported Lark Ave project bids came in lower than anticipated. Supervisors also agreed not to hire an additional full‑time cabin manager to reduce FY26 costs. The meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
