Oracle board renews superintendent contract, approves personnel changes and student trip

At the May 12 meeting, the Oracle Elementary School District No.2 Governing Board approved a slate of personnel actions and renewed Superintendent Crystle Nehrmeyer's contract effective July 1, 2025.
The board recorded a resignation: Joanna Soule, certified teacher, effective May 23, 2025. New hires approved for the 2025–2026 school year include Emily McDonald (5th/6th math, certified teacher), Melinda Hebbel (substitute teacher), Kelly Suttle (substitute teacher) and Rosa Flores (Athletic Support Specialist). The board also approved extra-curricular stipend assignments and summer school staffing; specific assignments listed in the minutes include Athletics Director Shannon Soulé and Gifted Education Director Christine Maki among others.
On personnel and contract matters, Member Wendy Odell moved and Board President Edie Crall seconded the superintendent contract renewal; the motion passed by unanimous vote.
