Oracle Elementary School District board approves FY24/25 budget revision adding $174,918 to operations

The Governing Board of Oracle Elementary School District No.2 voted unanimously on May 12 to approve Revision I to the district’s FY24/25 Annual Expenditure Budget, adding $174,918 to Maintenance and Operations and $30,369 to the Capital Budget.
Superintendent Crystle Nehrmeyer opened a public hearing on the budget revision and presented a timeline for budget actions. She told the board the additional funds reflect steady student enrollment, one-time allocations based on the social/economic status of the student population, and adjustments made at the state level: "These additional funds are based on steady student enrollment, one-time allocations based on the social/economic status of our student population, and adjustments at the state level." Teacher and parent Jessica Nehrmeyer commented on cohort size for the current 7th–8th graders.
On a motion by Board Member Edie Crall, seconded by Joy Reid, the board approved the revised budget. The motion carried "all in favor, motion carried," with no negative votes recorded.
The consent agenda earlier in the meeting also ratified payroll vouchers (V48–V53) and expenditure vouchers (V2532–V2534). The minutes list payroll vouchers including V48 $80,378.50, V49 $70,624.51, V50 $5,339.56, V51 $71,464.75, V52 $90,458.38 and V53 $87,915.18; expenditure vouchers V2532 $27,667.58, V2533 $136,450.56 and V2534 $146,299.70 were ratified as part of consent.
