Council delays decision on Industrial Tower West cell tower permit after site concerns

Zoning Administrator Jacob Holcomb said the planning commission recommended approval, but Mayor Rod Sonnichsen and council members reported that three council members visited the site and identified potential issues related to easements, setback compliance and the drawings submitted by the applicant.
Given those unresolved questions, Councilmember Luke Wassom moved and Councilmember Paul Holland seconded a motion to postpone action on the conditional-use permit until the August 13, 2024 council meeting to allow Industrial Tower West to provide additional information addressing the cited concerns. The motion passed by roll-call vote.
The council did not grant or deny the permit; the item remains pending pending the applicant's submission of clarifying documentation and any necessary corrections to site plans or easement agreements.
