The Broken Bow City Council opened a public hearing at 6:15 p.m. on July 9, 2024, to consider a conditional-use permit for Michaela Bissonette to operate a residential/cottage bakery at 843 Hillcrest Drive. Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission member Jacob Holcomb told the council the planning commission recommended approval.
After briefly closing the hearing at 6:17 p.m., the council moved to approve the conditional-use permit; the motion was made by Councilmember Chris Myers and seconded by Councilmember Russ Smith and passed unanimously. No conditions or special restrictions were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The conditional-use permit allows a residential kitchen-based bakery to operate under city zoning procedures as described in the planning commission recommendation presented to the council.
