Leacock supervisors grant conditional approval for Stoltzfus subdivision, defer street improvements

The Leacock Township Board of Supervisors on Feb. 16 granted conditional approval for the Christ K. Stoltzfus subdivision plan (Plan #30-287-25-D) for property at 234C North Harvest Road, approving multiple code deferrals and a modification while attaching conditions for final sign-off.

Supervisor Donald Gentzler moved to grant a deferral to Section 265-23.T(2) to allow an access drive width of 24 feet; Supervisor Carl Smucker seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board also approved a deferral to Sections 265-23.D and 265-23.L for existing street improvements until the township determines they are necessary, on a motion by Supervisor Frank Howe seconded by Supervisor James Donovan.

The board approved a modification to Sections 253-15A(2)(c) and 253-20.C(2)(a)[2] related to volume controls and loading ratios on a motion by Gentzler, seconded by Donovan. Finally, the board granted conditional approval of the Stoltzfus plan on the conditions that the township receive a clean Hanover letter and documentation regarding the driveway. All votes on these motions were unanimous.

The actions reference local code sections cited during the meeting; the board did not place a firm schedule for the deferred street improvements, instead retaining the township’s discretion to require them later. The conditional approval means the plan may proceed once the stated conditions are satisfied and the required documentation is submitted to township staff for verification.

The meeting adjourned at 4:55 P.M., and the board did not record any further action related to the Stoltzfus plan at that meeting.
