Trustees raised two items under other business at the Feb. 20 meeting: code enforcement concerns at Route 22 and Doyle Road, and homeowner questions about lead-service-line replacement notices.
Trustee Knar and Trustee Wall said there are “trailers parked everywhere, all day and all night” at the Route 22 and Doyle Road location and directed staff to look into code enforcement. Administrator Soderholm said staff would investigate and follow up.
Trustee Knar also asked whether residents had responded to a lead-service-line replacement letter and questioned the reported $7,000 homeowner cost for a replacement. Administrator Soderholm said staff had received a few inquiries, that the village’s contractor agreement requires payment in full to the village prior to work, and that contractors provide a one-year warranty. He said follow-up letters, phone calls and visits may be required to secure responses from all homeowners identified in a 2023 survey.
No formal board action on these items was recorded at the meeting; trustees directed staff to pursue follow-up.
