Plainfield police honor officers for service and enforcement; department reports 118 OWI arrests in 2025

The Plainfield Board of Police Commissioners used part of its March 5 meeting to recognize officers and civilian staff for years of service and performance. Chief Prewitt presented five-year service acknowledgements for Corporal Taylor Tritle, Officer Morgan Nelson and Officer Michael Murray, and recognized Captain Carri Weber and Eric Lees for reaching 35 years of service on March 28.
The department announced its 2025 marksmanship award winners — Sergeant Logan Clark (third), Officer Chris Timm (second) and Officer Niko Romero (first) — and reported that the agency made 118 OWI arrests in 2025. Chief Prewitt named Michael Murray (14 arrests), Nick Greeson (20 arrests) and Dakota Carlton (27 arrests) as the top individual OWI arrest totals for the year.
Deputy Chief Salisbury announced Charles Dodson as the 2025 Civilian Employee of the Year and Detective Michael Standiford as the 2025 Support Officer of the Year. Chief Prewitt also presented the department’s Top Cop award for 2025 to Officer Luke Cain.
Commissioners offered brief thanks and photos were taken to mark the recognitions. No board action or policy changes were associated with the awards.
