The Dawson County Board of Commissioners voted June 18 to deny ZA2615, a request to rezone approximately 1.199 acres at 2232 Dawson Forest Road from residential-manufactured land to commercial rule business for an automobile service operation.
Richard summarized Planning Commission recommendations and noted required conditions under county code — two-way commercial driveway standards, civil plans and hydrology/stormwater controls to prevent runoff onto adjacent properties — all of which would be required at plan review if a rezoning were approved.
Applicant Mavar Kadimova described plans for a 5,000-square-foot shop with the existing mobile home serving as an office and said vehicles would not be stored outdoors. No members of the public signed up to speak for or against the proposal at this meeting.
After brief discussion, Commissioner Gain moved to deny ZA2615; the motion carried and the board recorded a denial.
