Chowchilla planning commission recommends City Council approve environmental addendum and map, zoning and plan changes for Rancho Calera Block 12

The Chowchilla Planning Commission on May 20 adopted five resolutions recommending that the City Council approve environmental and land‑use approvals for the Rancho Calera Block 12 project.

Vice Chair Gil Hale opened the public hearing at 5:59 p.m. on the item, which included an Addendum to the previously adopted Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program; General Plan Amendment No. 26-0001; Specific Plan Amendment No. 26-0001; Zoning Map Amendment No. 26-0001; and Tentative Subdivision Map #21-0878. No members of the public spoke during the hearing.

Commissioner Syp Vander Dussen moved to adopt Planning Commission Resolutions 26-05, 26-06, 26-07, 26-08 and 26-09 recommending City Council approval; Commissioner Michael Wallen seconded the motion. The motion passed by voice vote with Chair Cheryl Salter noted as absent.

The resolutions, as recorded on the meeting agenda, forward the environmental addendum and proposed amendments to the City Council for its consideration.
