The Lyons City Council approved multiple payments and a loan advance tied to the Urban Canopy Recovery Project on June 8.
Council voted to approve payment to Lane’s Tree Service and Silver Creek Nursery totaling $99,122 (Lane’s portion $79,750; Silver Creek $19,372) for tree removal work on the Urban Canopy Recovery Project. The council also approved payment to Frahm Tree Service for $8,400 for stump grinding and approved payment to Stan Houston (equipment vendor; listed as Stan Houton/Stan Houston in the minutes) for $2,019.75 for chainsaws and pruners with an additional $1,731.94 contingent on delivery of remaining chainsaws. The council authorized a loan advance of $109,541.75 for the Urban Canopy Recovery Project and will request a drawdown from PlantNebraska for that amount (minutes indicate the drawdown will include remaining chainsaw purchases and payroll if applicable).
The council approved these payments by voice/roll call as part of the clerk’s Treasurer Report and vendor-payment motions. The minutes do not include a line-item project schedule or contractor invoices, but they record payment amounts and that the check for Lane’s/Silver Creek will be made out to both combined.
