Crawford treasurer reports year‑end figures; council approves bills totaling $27,952.32

City Clerk Teri Miller presented the City of Crawford’s year‑end treasurer report at the Oct. 28 council meeting. She reported total city revenue of $2,827,867 and total expenditures of $2,952,174. Miller described the city as having overspent by approximately $119,000 and highlighted several departments showing negative balances and auditor journal entries affecting the sewer balance and Golf Department liabilities. She also noted that the Golf Department ended the year in the black by $25,134 on roughly $303,000 in total revenue.

Council Member Christopher Dean moved to approve the treasurer’s report, seconded by Council Member Dianne Gaston; the motion passed unanimously among council members present. The council then approved bills and claims, requisition orders and transfers. The claims total listed in the meeting record is $27,952.32 and includes items such as payroll checks of $15,374.37, AFLAC insurance, Black Hills Energy charges and several vendor payments.
